Set Designer

  • Report to Stage Manager
  • Design the set in conjunction with Director, Producer, Stage Manager & Set Construction Foreman
  • Prepare detail plan and model of the set before construction begins and prior to start of rehearsals
  • Resolve unforseen difficulties at set raising in coordination with Stage Manager

  

Set Construction Foreman

  • Report to Stage Manager
  • Schedule & organize sessions for building set
  • Procure materials needed to construct set
  • Coordinate storing of inventory after striking set

  

Set Builders & Painters

  • Report to Set Construction Foreman
  • Build set in accordance with set design
  • Paint set
  • Load set for transporting
  • Raise & strike set
  • Store set after striking

  

Set Decorators

  • Report to Stage Manager
  • Secure all furnishings & stage props as required by set design
  • Return all furnishings & stage props after last performance
