This Christmas Cafe "2010"

In "All of the Other Reindeer," Blitzen is burned out and upset that he's always last on the team.  The other reindeer have suggestions:  Cupid thinks he needs a love life; Donder suggests a good stock portfolio, Prancer thinks an exercise regime is the answer.  Baffled, the other reindeer call in Santa's newest hire, a reindeer called Freud.  They tell her Blitzen has jealousy and anger issues.  Who’s suggestion makes the difference and turns Blitzen from bitter to better.

In "Nutcrackered," E.T.A Hoffman is struggling with writer's block.  An angry young girl, her bratty brother and his friends give him inspiration when they tell him a wild story about a magical nutcracker.  It’s a story of torture, sadness and broken dreams. Watch as sibling rivalry threatens to destroy the true meaning of Christmas.

In "Bah! Humbug!" Marley's Ghost goes to Scrooge's house, but a century and a half too late!  Witness how the spirits of the Past, Present and Future confront Marley only to find that everything's been messed up and HUGE alterations to the past have changed Tiny Tim forever.
Music, Music, Music "2010"

A show is being prepared to show in a barn, but nothing runs smoothly.  At the rise of the show the director is having a fit because the show is going to open the next day and he doesn’t think they are ready.  He argues with the cast then exits convince that it will be a disaster.  Only four young people remain behind to discuss the events they have witnessed.  Two of the young people, Biff & Melody, have been brought into the production to replace a couple who have just walked out because of the Director’s antics.  Now, Biff & Melody, are wondering if they also should quit.

A second young couple, Penny & Sammy, try to get them to stay with the show.   They do this by conjuring up a Grande Dame of the theatre, a DIVA, a ghost from years ago, who takes them on a tour of the musical theatre from 1905 to 1955.  During their journey, they are handed off to Carnie Bill, also a ghost – a show business type from years ago.  He escorts them through various eras in time where they encounter many legendary performers such as Al Jolson, Fanny Brice and Marie Dressler.

After a trip through two world wars, they finish their travels in 1955 where the entire cast reassembles and sings There’s No Business Like Show Business.  Altogether there are 25 numbers, and we hope that you enjoyed this nostalgic trip through musical time.

Saloonkeeper's Daughter "2009"

This production is a spoof on an old fashioned melodrama.

The setting is a saloon in the old west and there are the standard characters of the Town Hero (dressed all in White), Nasty Villain (dressed all in Black), Sweet Young Thing, Bar Owner, Town Drunk and the Sultry Saloon Gals.

Itʼs a lot of fun and nonsense for everyone and the audience is encouraged to cheer for the good guy, boo and hiss the bad guy and sigh over the love scenes.

Of course, in the end, love conquers all, and there is a happy ending.

Aladdin "2008"

Aladdin has broken the sacred law of the Emperor and has gazed upon the face of Princess Sey Wen. The guards Bamboo and Typhoo are looking for him and if he is captured his life will be forfeit. Things aren't improved when the Twanky family insults the Emperor during a celebration.

The evil Abanazer pretends to befriend Widow Twanky and persuades Aladdin to climb down into a cave to retrieve a worthless old lamp. He loses his temper and poor Aladdin is imprisoned in the cave for ever. Aladdin meets the Genie of the lamp and together they set out to put everything to rights.

Abanazer steals the lamp by tricking Aladdin's rather dim brother Wishy Washy and the Bamboo and Typhoo are enlisted by the Genie to get it back. In an action-packed final scene, Princess Sey Wen and Aladdin are united and everybody lives happily ever after.

Mumsy Murders "2008"

Mumsy Murders is a family-oriented offbeat comedy.

The line-up of characters include an aging Hollywood movie actress, her pet director and twice divorced very bitter sister, a village psychic, who is convinced she has the power to see into the unknown and solve murders, a displaced countess from a small principality in Europe, a hysterical young woman who has just been released from a mental institution, and a brilliant professor of criminal psychology committed to solving the mystery, a young handsome neighbour and a very young female lawyer.

Hurricane Hazel forces this cast of colourful characters to spend the night together.  It's difficult enough for this group to get along without adding the constant fear of death.  Who will die next?  How will they ever get out of this place?  It's a night of mayham and suspense.

All this fear pits family member against family member and friend against friend until the murderer is finally discovered.
